GREENVIET WELCOMES PORTLAND STATE UNIVERSITY
On August 23rd, 2018, GreenViet had the opportunity to host the group of MBA/MIM students from Portland State University, USA. This is a one stop during their field trip to Vietnam and China to learn more about business in Asian countries.
At the meeting, Mr. Do Huu Nhat Quang - Business Development Director cum Co-Founder of GreenViet Consultancy Company - shared the journey of the company as well as his actual experience while guiding GreenViet to achieve many successes since establishment until now. Other than Green Building Certification Consultancy (LEED, LOTUS, Green Mark), GreenViet also offers other services such as Energy and Water Audit; Green Building Training; and Sustainable Benchmarking. Founded in 2012, GreenViet has completed over 100 projects within the country and in the SouthEast Asia region. GreenViet is proud to take over 50% of the green building market share in Vietnam, contributing to the sustainable development of the country’s real estate industry.
The group from Portland State University consisted of 23 MBA/MIM students. All of them were somewhat familiar with the green building topic, however they did not know of all the economic and environmental benefits, especially corporate social responsibilities (CSR). The group also enthusiastically brought up a lot of questions related to the management and development of a service company, especially when there is competition going on among domestic and international consulting companies.
This is also a special opportunity for GreenViet to introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends. Vietnam is not developed as the United States yet, but Vietnam has still been striving to be “greener,” steadily progressing on the path of sustainable development.
Other than GreenViet, Portland State University MBA/MIM students will also visit other big global corporations such as Adidas, Suntory PepsiCo, General Motors, Ernst & Young in Ho Chi Minh City and Beijing (China).
GreenViet wishes all the best for the group during this field trip!
