INSEE Cement sponsors 20 billion to build schools for students in remote areas

On June 16 in Kinh 9 hamlet, Kien Binh commune, INSEE Vietnam Cement Company (Siam City Cement Vietnam), and the People's Committee of Kien Luong District (Kien Giang) organized the construction of Kien Binh 2 School. The project is a complex project including bridges, transportation systems, and school items with 24 classrooms fully equipped with modern teaching and learning facilities, toilets, multi-purpose houses, etc. The total project value is 62.3 billion dong.

INSEE Vietnam Cement Company contributes 20 billion VND, the expected completion time is at the end of 2021. The project is designed and built according to the green building criteria granted by Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC). certification. Once completed, Kien Binh 2 School will meet the demand of 2 classes/day for about 700 primary and secondary students. Mr. Philippe Richart, general director of INSEE Vietnam Cement, said the Kien Binh 2 School project aims to support education improvement for local communities who are still facing many difficulties. Recently, INSEE Vietnam has also sponsored a number of community projects in the sustainable development strategy, such as the youth playground, supporting the construction of schools in Tho Chau Island, and joining hands to combat the COVID- 19, donating water containers, building freshwater pipelines for saline drought areas.
